No matter were in the world people live there is no doubt modern day life has been influenced and based on basic ideologies of the ancients, everything from religous beleifs to modern day construction, but what i want to brush on with this article is the questions that i feel do not get asked enough things like HOW? and WHY? Take for example the mystery stones of baalbek how were the giant stones moved some weighing upwards of 1000 tons? to think and accept the notion that they could of been moved using ropes an pully systems in my opinion is a crazy unrealistic idea yet it is generally accepted by modern society. whitch takes me to my next questions.
How were stones quarried and cut by stone masons with such skill and precission with only the basic of tools like a hammer and chisel and abrassive techniques? How were stones weighing hundreds of tons transported from quarrys and transported vast distances over rugged and some times mountainous terrain on the very basic of roads and pathways? how did egyptians manage to do this across a sandy desert? i mean it is mind boggling to think of the manpower that would be needed, i mean think about it never mind the great contructions of the ancients things like the great pyramid, Tiahuanacu, MaccaPichu Baalbek etc, just getting the materials and transporting them to these sites is a monumental achievment in itself.
Why take all that effort and use all of them resources to achive such monumental constructions? Take for example the great pyramid of giza constructed over a 14 to 20-year period concluding around 2560 BC, and it was the tallest man made structure in the world for over 3,800 years it consists of an estimated 2.3 million limestone blocks! The largest granite stones in the pyramid, found in the "King's" chamber, weigh 25 to 80 tonnes each! and were transported from Aswan, more than 500 miles away! It is estimated that 5.5 million tons of limestone, 8,000 tons of granite (imported from Aswan), and 500,000! tons of mortar were used in the construction of the Great Pyramid. The accuracy of the pyramid's workmanship is such that the four sides of the base have an average error of only 58 millimetres in length. and thats just the bricks, the manpower alone just to build the pyramid is guestimated to be around the many tens of thousends of skilled labourers, and they all need feeding, housing, paying etc, is it just me or does it seem like a hell of a lot of hassle just to put a dead body inside? whitch also kind of gets you asking....
Why the Atronomical Alignments? Ancient structures around the world are precisely aligned to the sun and stars. Some are lined up with the cardinal points but most are aligned to other astronomically significant directions, were the ancients in contact with extra-terrestrials? beings from other planets who they percieved as gods? it certainly seems they had knowledge of the stars and a kind of galactic understanding. There is no doubt there was a meaning to build in such ways that has since been lost over the centuries and that we may never totally understand.
Either way whatever your thoughts or theories may be no one can deny the remarkable achievments and feats of engineering that ancient civilizations of our world have achieved, either done using skills and techniques forgotton over time or if they did actually have assistance from alien races we may never know but one thing is for sure there achievments have intrigued people for centuries an no doubt they will intrigue people for centuries to come.
