Mars Science Laboratory Launched

The Mars Curiosity Rover Spacecraft is on its way to Mars this morning with a very successful launch. An Atlas V rocket carrying the land rover launched from Cape Canaveral this morning, beginning a journey to Mars that’s expected to end with a landing to the planet in August of 2012. This was some really spectacular video footage that must have used a lens the size of a small car. Amazing space launch footage of a very complex mission to investigate another nearby planet.  I guess the USA space program is alive and well.  Go USA.
